People with pancreatic cancer, their families, and carers are invited to attend an event in Norwich to find out more about the disease and the support available to patients locally, as well as meet others affected.

More than 900 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the East of England this year. Across the UK, just 7pc of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer will live for five years or more after diagnosis.

Pancreatic Cancer UK is encouraging people to attend the charity’s free, informal Living with Pancreatic Cancer Support Day on Thursday, October 11 at Holiday Inn Norwich City, Carrow Road. People will have the chance to ask one of Pancreatic Cancer UK’s specialist nurses questions about any aspect of the disease.

The free event will start at 10am, will include lunch, and end at 2pm. To register to attend, contact Pancreatic Cancer UK on Freephone 0808 801 0707 or email
