Dipple and Conway, which first opened in the town in 2012, moved on September 4 to the building on Market Place.

The business has a long history in the area. In 1916, George Dipple and Thomas Conway opened their first practice in Norwich.

Matthew Conway, great-grandson of Thomas Conway and a director of the business, said: 'We have invested more than £250,000 to completely transform our new building so it offers a stylish, yet friendly, environment for customers of all ages,'

The opticians had seen demand increase so much that customers were having to wait six to eight weeks for an appointment.

'We now have more appointments available, additional clinical services, and more space for consultations,' Mr Conway said.
