Ambulance crews at Diss station received a boost on Thursday when a generous member of the public sent them chocolates and a note of appreciation.
The note, which was accompanied by a box of Roses, said: 'Thank you very much for all that you do to help save lives in our community, out in all weathers including the recent dreadful snow.
'I'm sorry the press so often seems to malign the ambulance services but I know you all do your best with the resources you have.'
Carley Ward, who works for East of England Ambulance Trust (EEAST) and shared the note online, said all she knew was the woman was an ex-nurse from a London hospital.
She said: 'She just wanted to say thanks for all we do and wanted to give us some positivity for a change. I just felt that with such low morale at the moment it was important to highlight when we are recognised in the community for doing the wonderful job that we do.'
She added: 'I feel very passionately about lifting our staff's morale in such challenging times.'
It is believed the woman was also going to deliver similar tokens to Norfolk Fire and Rescue.
In a tweet, EEAST said: 'There are nice people out there. Such a sweet gesture for hard-working staff.'
