A north Norfolk hospital will hold a stroke symptom information event on the final day of the condition's awareness month.

The event at Cromer Hospital will be held in the eye clinic reception area on Friday, May 31, the last day of Stroke Awareness Month, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

A cake sale will be on offer, alongside information on stroke symptoms, such as the FAST guide, which stands for facial drooping; arm weakness; speech difficulties; and time to call 999.

The event will tie in with the Make May Purple campaign, which has seen NHS staff across Norfolk hold a series of events to raise awareness of the condition, and encourage people to wear purple to support survivors.

George Burroughs, regional fundraising manager of the Stroke Association, said: "With more donations, you can support us in rebuilding even more lives after stroke because we believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke."
