The number of calls to the region's ambulance service from Norfolk over the bank holiday weekend increased by almost a quarter compared to last year.
The East of England Ambulance Service fielded 1,785 calls from Norfolk during the three days, compared with 1,454 during 2017's early bank holiday weekend - an increase of 22.7pc.
Suffolk also saw an increase in demand, up from 1,142 in 2017 to 1,459 this year, while calls from Cambridgeshire went up from 1,200 to 1,351.
The service, which covers six counties, received more than 10,000 emergency calls in total over the course of the bank holiday weekend.
Sunday was the busiest day, with more than 3,900 calls received across the trust.
Bosses at the ambulance service thanked ambulance staff, managers and volunteers for their efforts during the busy bank holiday weekend.
