Police have issued an e-fit after a woman was sexually assaulted in her own home in Hardingham by a man asking to read the meter.

The incident happened on March 18 after 8.30pm when a woman reported being attacked in her own home by a man who had cold-called at the property.

The man had asked to read the meter and after being refused entry, forced his way into the address and sexually assaulted the woman.

The suspect is described as white, aged between 40 and 50 years old, of large build with blond hair and a scar on his lower jaw.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man or has information concerning the incident.
