Dozens of young trainee witches and wizards apparated to King's Lynn Library to forge a magical wand.

The library hosted Ollivander’s pop up wand shop where youngsters chose from a selection of wooden wands to fit their magical abilities.

To harness the enchanted natural magic of wild wood they were tasked with decorating it with paint, glitter and feathers.

One witch, Sarah Robin-Wright, 8, said: “I like Harry Potter because it is full of adventure and mystery.”

Irena Petrova, from Middleton, brought her son Alex Isaev, 9, to the makeshift Diagon Alley shop on Saturday, Novemeber 18.

She said: “There are a lot of nice things that happen for the children, it is not just a library.

“Alex really likes Harry Potter and I am happy to see him without technology.”

Library staff Alison Thorne said: “It had been brilliant, our most well-attended event yet.”
