Harleston mother loses 100lb in 12 months

A self-confessed 'chocoholic' is celebrating after losing 100lb in 12 months after rejoining a Norfolk slimming club.

Mother-of-four Michelle Burridge said her life had been transformed by the dramatic weight loss after going from 21st to 14st in the space of a year.

The 30-year-old said she had more energy to play with her children after rejoining the Harleston Weight Watchers group last May following the birth of her son Riley.

Mrs Burridge, who lives in Titlow Road, Harleston, first signed up to the dieting club to lose weight before her wedding to husband Wayne in October 2009.

The slimmer added that she had managed to shed the pounds, despite not following an exercise routine and being allowed the odd chocolate treat under the 'ProPoints' plan.

'This time it has really worked. I lost three stone before and put it back on and this time something clicked and it made me more determined. I have four children and I want to be healthy for them. The support from my family and friends has been a big morale boost.'

'I do not get out of breath when I run up the stairs and I can play with my children more and I find I'm less lazy now,' she said.
