People in Norfolk are being encouraged to dress up as hares in order to help break one of the more unusual world records.

South Norfolk Council is celebrating the UK's first ever Norfolk Day on July 27 by encouraging people to take part in a record attempt for the most number of people dressed as hares in one location.

The event will be held at Whitlingham Country Park outside the visitor centre between 1-2pm during their Totally Broads Family Fun Day.

South Norfolk councillor Michael Edney said: 'This is your chance to get into the record books. There will also be face painting, crafts and other activities for all the family, so come along and make a day of it.'

To be a world record breaker, all you will need is a pair of hare/rabbit ears, a tail and 12 whiskers, either painted or drawn. For more information, templates and ideas, visit south-norfolk.gov.uk
