The A143 at Haddiscoe will be closed for two hours tomorrow morning following a cement mixer going into a ditch there this afternoon.

Police were called to Haddiscoe Dam at 1.10pm today to reports that a lorry had left the road at one of the sharp corners known as the Haddiscoe Bends.

It ended up on its side in a ditch close to the Station Road junction.

No one was believed to have been injured, but officers said it would be too dangerous to move the lorry without the road being closed, so are planning to shut Haddiscoe Dam in both directions between 10am and noon tomorrow in order to recover the vehicle.

The cement mixer is not obstructing the road.
