A 59-year-old Great Yarmouth man will appear in court next week charged in connection with a series of sexual offences.
Geoffrey Bensley, of Nelson Road South, faces five counts of sexual assault by touching involving a child under the age of 13; five counts of indecent assault; taking an indecent photograph of a child and making an indecent photograph of a child.
Some of the assault charges are alleged to have taken place at the Magdalen Way Methodist Church in Gorleston between 2009 and 2013, where Bensley held the role of communion steward.
Bensley appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, August 26 and was released on bail until his next appearance at Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday, September 9.
