Jess, the Great Yarmouth family pet who went missing last week, has been safely returned home.

The brindle Staffordshire bull terror, who had been missing from her home on Nelson Road North since last Wednesday, was found yesterday.

The seven-year-old pet had been discovered living nearby, with a person who had taken her into their home after finding her.

Katherine Newarkk, her owner, said: 'I cried with joy when she was returned to us. We're all just so happy and relieved to have her home.'
