Firefighters were called this afternoon to deal with a grass fire in Acle.

The fire in the open was near the river bridge in Old Road.

A call came into the emergency services at 2.08pm and the crew was on the scene in 15 minutes.

An appliance from Great Yarmouth fire station attended and the crew used HRK hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check for heat spots.

The crew left the scene around 15 minutes later.
