Local author Gracie Wright visited Lowestoft Library for a special Valentines Day event on February 14, the same day as her character Silly Eric's birthday.
Ms Wright entertained an audience of more than 40 children by reading from and signing copies of her latest book, Silly Eric and The Birthday Cake.
Children dressed in party hats and sang happy birthday to Silly Eric as they walked towards a giant home crafted birthday cake, before enjoying party games, songs, and cupcakes, before taking home a party bag.
One young guest said: 'It was just like the book was real and I was there.'
Ms Wright said: 'The library organised the event beautifully and really did put all their joy and energy into making it the best party Silly Eric has ever had.'
Event organiser Karen Goffin said: 'We were so excited to welcome back Gracie, she is such a special person and we all had such a wonderful time.'
