A 'valuable' memory club in Gorleston which helps dementia and memory loss patients has been boosted by a Co-op donation.
The Gorleston Memory Club meets weekly to help visitors reflect on important memories.
The Central England Co-op provided a £400 grant to fund laptops for the memory club, which has more than 40 members.
The laptops are used to find out about past homes and memories, as well as offering members the opportunity to talk to distant loved ones on Skype.
Debbie Bishop, funeral administrator from the Co-op's Gorleston Funeral Home, said: 'I saw the memory club advertised and worked with the Co-op's Membership and Community Council to find ways to support it.
'The work they do is so valuable to members and their carers. Supporting them with the grant earlier this year and making regular donations of ingredients means people with dementia and memory loss have a place where they can remember good times and socialise.'
The group meets every Wednesday at the Methodist Church Hall, on Magdalen Way, from 10am until 2pm.
