Gorleston man hit with baseball bat by masked raiders

A 54-year-old man was hit over the head with a baseball bat after confronting masked intruders in his own home.

Two men, in their 20s, wearing balaclavas and dark clothes kicked in a wooden door panel and entered an address at New College Close, Gorleston at about 1am on Sunday, August 21.

The victim was later treated in hospital after being struck by the offenders who fled with approximately �400 cash.
