Hemsby Lifeboat were called out yesterday (November 30) after a possible sighting of a floating lifejacket off South Pier.
Humber Coastguard were informed and a protracted search around the area along with Gorleston Inshore Lifeboat was conducted.
However after more than three hours of searching, nothing was found and both Gorleston and Hemsby Lifeboats were stood down by the coastguard and returned to their stations.
