An elderly woman who was seriously injured in a collision last month in Wisbech has died in hospital, police said today.

Mary Bailey, 82, of The Barracks, Gorefield, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after the accident outside Loafers Coffee Shop, in Wisbech Market Place, on November 22.

Mrs Bailey's injuries were described as serious at the time but her condition deteriorated and she died in hospital on Friday.

Police have spoken to the driver of the vehicle, a silver Volvo S60, who was a 79-year-old man.

Officers are investigating and would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision.
