Stacey Roberts of Trimingham House Caravan Park near Cromer said there had been a great atmosphere around the area with the influx of people at the weekend.

'We were busier than expected, there were lots of people walking around and the beaches were very busy,' she said.

Ricky Lark, operations manager at Sea Life in Great Yarmouth, said the beaches in the town had also been packed. 'The good weather brings people to the resorts, which the town obviously benefits from,' he said. 'The beaches were really full, particuarly on Sunday.'

Heathland Beach Caravan Park owner May Reader said it had been an 'absolutely fabulous' weekend. 'It would be nice if it was like this all the time,' she said. 'It really is lovely to see people out and doing what they should be in the summer.'
