A committee of dedicated volunteers from the east coast who raise funds for a cancer charity are celebrating a major funding boost from a golf day.
Great Yarmouth and Caister Golf Club hosted a charity golf day in aid of the 50th anniversary of the Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Macmillan Cancer Support Group on Friday.
There were 96 players in a pairs competition followed by a barbecue, auction and a raffle - raising £5,126 for the committee.
In fourth place with 47 points were M Everard and R Pope; third with 48 points were S Hashem and M Day, second with 49 points were J Tweed and Tweed and in first place with 52 points were T Barber and S Barber.
Club captain Alistair Low presented the winners, Tim and Sally Barber, with their prizes.
A spokesman for the golf club said: 'The event was a successful and joyous occasion and the magnificent sum of £5,126 was raised.'
