A charity golf day is being held in memory of a man who worked at a golf club for nearly four decades.

On Friday, October 26, more than 200 golfers will take part in 18 holes at a championship course at Barnham Broom Golf Club between 8am and 6pm.

The event will be in memory of Brian Lemmon, who died in December 2017 aged 61.

After joining the club full time as a 16-year-old he worked his way up to become head greenkeeper and gave 38 years service to the club.

Mr Lemmon was supported by Wymondham cancer charity Star Throwers, who the event is in aid of.

Tea, coffee and bacon rolls will be served on arrival with a shotgun start at 10am and teams of four players.

There is a prize for first and second teams and individuals and a two course meal.

Tickets are £25 for club members and £35 for non-members. For more information contact callen@barnham-broom.co.uk.
