Jessica-Jane Applegate, 19, from Great Yarmouth, was due to be training at a pool in Norwich, but was unable to get there because her car's back window was smashed by a branch which came down in the strong winds

Miss Applegate said on Twitter that no-one was hurt in the incident, but was waiting for her insurance company and a windscreen repair company to arrive.

In the London 2012 Summer Paralympics the Yarmouth-born won gold and set the Paralympic record in the S14 200m freestyle.

She was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2013 New Year Honours for services to swimming.
