Burglars ransacked two homes making off with a gold chain, a laptop and cash.

The burglaries happened in the Meadows, Thurton between 6pm and 7pm on Wednesday, February 22.

Suspects forced open a rear kitchen window at the first home before taking a distinctive gold sovereign, chain and a small amount of change.

At the second home burglars forced the rear patio doors open and stole aftershave, a black Toshiba laptop and cash.

Officers are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have witnessed three men seen in the area at about 6.15pm who were wearing dark clothing.
