Gold accreditation for PE department at school in Southwold

AWARD SUCCESS: A Southwold school has been awarded the Sainsbury's School Games Gold Accreditation.
It recognises the PE department's commitment to extra-curricular activities, interschool sport and competitions.
The preparatory department at St Felix School, is the first school with pupils under the age of 11, in the Waveney area, to gain the Gold Award – and is now one of only six schools in Suffolk to hold such status.
The senior department are also celebrating, after receiving a Silver Award for their regular participation in a wide variety of sporting activities.
Fran D'Alcorn, headmistress, said: 'This is a wonderful endorsement of the numerous sporting achievements of our students across a full range of activities and all year groups.
'It also reflects the hard work and commitment of the PE staff, particularly in their support of extra-curricular activities and sporting fixtures.'
