Held at the club’s home venue at Broome Village Hall, the judge for the competition, titled ‘In the Garden’, was Joan Jordan FRPS who gave some great feedback about the high quality of all the entries.

She especially praised of one of the club’s youngest members, Joshua Finch, who managed a very credible third place with his monochrome print Dinner Time - a well executed macro close-up of a ripe dandelion seed head.

The club is now busy preparing for its annual exhibition at Broome Village Hall on September 1.

A spokesman from the club said: “This exhibition is proving more popular every year and with the input of several new members this year looks like being the most diverse and interesting so far.”
