A gang of teenagers pulled a knife out on a man and asked him to give them his possessions as he walked to work at Wisbech.
The gang of five, all wearing dark clothing and hoodies, threatened the 25 year old as he walked along Elm Road at about 8.30pm on Monday (14).
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said: 'The victim was walking along Elm Road near the fire station when a gang of five teenage youths came up to him and asked him to hand over whatever he had.
'The victim refused and continued walking and shouted back at the youths that he had called police.'
The victim believed one of them had a knife, police said.
The group then walked away in the direction of Corporation Road, the spokesman said.
No arrests have been made.
