A funeral service will be held on December 12 for a 25-year-old trainee teacher who collapsed and died while taking part in the Norwich half-marathon on Sunday, November 27.
Phillip Goillau, from Toftwood, Dereham, was training to be an IT teacher at Notre Dame High School in Norwich.
A service will be held at All Saints Church, Mattishall, near Dereham, at 10.30am.
Any donations given in memory can be made at the church, to RJ Bartram and Son of Dereham or donated via www.justgiving.com/variet-club-marathons-challenge. All funds are in aid of Variety Club, the children's charity, which Mr Goillau was looking to fundraise for next year. An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned last week.
