It has been two years since a former Royal Marine and veteran fund-raiser donned his walking boots to set out on a charity trek.
But now Paul Russell is gearing up for his latest challenge – and he has decided that this year's 'yomp' will be a 'final walk for charity.'
For almost 30 years of fund-raising, Mr Russell, from Lowestoft, has 'yomped' through the night to complete long-distance walks and raise thousands of pounds for various worthy causes, including Breast Cancer, Great Ormond Street Hospital and other national and local charities.
Mr Russell said: 'After the break, I have decided that before the boots are solely used for the garden, to do a final walk for charity – with your help. 'The 'yomp' shall be a 60-mile non-stop walk for an undecided charity – as I am keen to hear from the public which charity the funds should be raised for.'
