Thousands of pounds worth of damage has been caused after fuel was stolen from 13 cars parked in a sales yard.

Fuel was taken from the vehicles at premises in Cowper Road, Dereham, last Thursday between 9.30pm and 10.30pm.

A Norfolk police spokesman said the exact amount of fuel stolen has not been determined, but the method used to syphon it from the vehicles caused more than £5,000 worth of damage to the fuel pumps.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact PC Debbi Doggett at Dereham Police Station on 101.
