A quiz night has helped to raise funds for King's Lynn Foodbank.

Hosted by Freebridge board member Ian Pinches, owner of the Blackstone Engine Bar in Denver, the quiz night on Wednesday, June raised £434 for the charity.

Every year Freebridge employees vote to support a charity through various fundraising activities, and this year the charity chosen was the King's Lynn Foodbank.

Mr Pinches said: 'We were delighted to help raise this money for such a good cause. I'd like to thank Terry our quizmaster and Sandra Morgan from the foodbank for her hard work and commitment in organising the event.

'And I'd also like to thank Maarten Klem from the King's Lynn Foodbank who came along on the night to talk about the great work that they do.'

Along with the quiz, there was also a raffle held on the night, with many organisations including Congham Hall, Alive Leisure and Tesco donating prizes.

Foodbank trustee, Andy King, said: 'I'd like to thank everyone at Freebridge, the Blackstone Engine Bar and the foodbank who got involved in working so hard to make this happen. It was great to have some fun while raising vital funds for the foodbank service.'

Freebridge Community Housing is also planning a golf day in partnership with the foodbank on Friday, September 28. To get involved call Freebridge on 03332 404444.
