A community award-winning fish and chip shop is preparing to serve hundreds of free sausage and chips meals to Halloween trick-or-treaters.
Baileys Fish and Chips in Diss, which won a Stars of Norfolk and Waveney Award for its community work, will be handing out free portions to any customer in Halloween fancy dress on October 31.
The Halloween special, which last year saw the Shelfanger Road shop give away more than 300 meals, is a spin-off from its 'Nobody Eats Alone' event when they deliver festive food packages on Christmas Day.
The shop will be open on December 25 again this year between 3pm and 8pm when any meal is free of charge.
Cengiz Bolat, who took over the shop in 2016, said: "No-one should be alone at Christmas. It's not about the food or giving something away, it is about the message of goodwill to the local public that we are thinking about them."
