Walkers have a chance to explore part of east Suffolk during a walk this weekend.

The East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership will host another of its hugely popular free guided railway walks this Saturday, September 30 – starting from the recently restored Wickham Market rialway station at 10.10am. The circular route crosses water meadows which are beside the River Ore and passes through the villages of Marlesford and Little Glemham.

Covering nine miles of Suffolk Countryside, the free ramble, will be led by Mary Moore and is expected to take about five hours to complete.

Saturday's walk has been timed to coincide with arrival at Wickham Market Station of the 9.07am train from Lowestoft and 9.17am service from Ipswich.

The East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership has published details of more than 130 miles of walks, which link with railway stations across the east of the county.
