Leisure property specialist Fleurets is advertising The Lifeboat Inn and The Chequers, both at Thornham, The Bridge Inn at Acle and Wayford Bridge Inn at Wayford Bridge.

They are being offered collectively or as individual purchases on the instructions of the joint administrator of Defiance Inns Property UK Limited, Victory Inns Property UK Limited, Agamemnon Inns Property UK Limited, Minotaur Inns Property UK Limited and Horatio Inns Limited.

The news is the latest part of a waiting game for staff at the four pubs, whose futures have been in the balance since they went into administration last year.

They were part of Horatio Inns Limited, of which the television chef is listed as a director.

At the time that they went into administration Nick Cropper, of Zolfo Cooper, confirmed all the pubs, which he described as 'popular venues with a healthy number of bookings', would continue to trade.

He said administrators had been appointed as a result of the businesses experiencing 'short-term cash flow problems arising from the recent challenging economic environment'.

Mr White acquired the pubs when he bought the Maypole Group, based at Wayford Bridge, in 2011.

At the time, staff expressed excitement and a spokesman for Mr White said he intended to run the new venture 'from the team involved to the artwork on the wall, with every dish on the menu being his own creation'.
