A former Olympic champion will be heading to Norfolk next month as he makes his Tour of Britain debut.
The 2008 Beijing Olympic Road Race Champion Samuel Sanchez will be leading his team Euskaltel Euskadi squad's return to the country's biggest cycle race.
Sanchez, who was the Tour de France's King of the Mountains in 2011, will ride the Tour of Britain ahead of the World Championships road race, which follows a week after the Tour culminates in Guildford on Sunday, September 16.
The Suffolk and Norfolk leg of the professional cycle race will be held on Sunday, September 9. It was be the first stage of the Tour and will see riders follow a route from Ipswich, up to Great Yarmouth, through Coltishall, Reepham and Dereham before finishing at the Norfolk Showground.
