Proposals have been sent to Great Yarmouth Borough Council to build two new homes at Nelson House in South Quay.

The building, which is currently empty, used to house a branch of Norfolk County Council Children's Services department before it was sold.

Developers Norwich-based Daylight Developments said any external changes to the building would take note of the local characteristics.

The site sits within a conservation zone.

There is existing access off of Dorset Close and there will be space for three cars and 17 bicycles.

There are two proposed new dwellings on top of the nine which were already granted permission last month.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council will make a decision whether or to approve the scheme by September 8.
