A former Broadland High School pupil is searching for votes to help her win a competition to receive elite training to run the Paris Marathon.

Charlie Brown, 27, has made the final shortlist for one of the five categories of The Runner's World Marathon Challenge - Asics Target 26.2.

The competition is aiming to find five runners to take part in the race in Paris in April; one to finish in under three hours, then the other four to finish in their target up to a finalist aiming for under five hours.

The former Paston Sixth Form College student, who used to live in Sco Ruston but is now based in London, is trying to win the 'sub 4:30' category and is fighting for votes against three other finalists up until midnight on Tuesday.

Charlie, the older sister of Blues musician Oli Brown, took up running just over a year ago and has since run her first half marathon, in 2:07, but has never ran a marathon.
