Norwich flowers blossom for Anglia in bloom judges

Anglia in Bloom experts Nolan Mills and Chris Durham, travelled the seven-hour route around Norwich to determine the winner.

The judging comes under several categories such as; floral display in containers, community gardens and growing projects as well as best kept church yard.

For younger gardeners, categories include; tallest sunflower, biggest pumpkin and best school scarecrow.

The judges this week visited ten locations in Norwich beginning at the Britannia Café.

The experts will be greeted by each individual who was involved in the growth of the garden.

Both Mr Mills and Mr Durham will jot down their observations and reveal the winners in September.

Friend of Norwich in Bloom will also show the Britain in Bloom judges around the route.

Julie Brociek-Coulton, Competition organiser for friends of Norwich in Bloom said she was pleased about the revamped route.

She said: 'It was a very good idea this year, and was pleased to see so many community volunteers coming out to,'

'Many thanks to the many sponsors that the Friends of Norwich in Bloom have. Notcutts, CIM, and Barford Van hire were three that have really helped with our route this year.'
