A flotilla of boats representing asylum seekers, refugees and migrants is to travel through Norwich as part of Bishops Pilgrimage Day tomorrow.

It has been organised by members of Norwich-based City Saints in Action and aims to show a display of welcome from the churches in the city to people from across the world.

Organiser Carrie Sant said: 'The event is making it clear that the church is not anti-immigrant, especially in the light of Brexit, and that people are welcome in Norwich.'

Members of the migrant community and asylum seekers will be on board the boats, decorated in European flags, and will arrive at Pulls Ferry at 9.30am to be greeted by a member of clergy representing the Christian Church in Norwich.
