MORE: Pest from the West to bring heavy rain to Norfolk and Waveney

On the River Waveney and River Dove 'river levels are remaining high as watercourses continue to react to the recent rainfall'. The alert states: 'The forecast is for a period of unsettled weather with isolated showers, potentially heavy at times, over the next 24 hours.

'We are expecting river levels to remain high and responsive to further rainfall on the saturated catchment. There is the possibility of some minor flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside gardens.'

It comes as heavy rain is expected across the region on Thursday from a weather front dubbed the Pest from the West.

Temperatures will dip below freezing on Thursday night with showers on Friday before a warm front moves in over the weekend.
