Visitors to The Forum in Norwich were surprised by dancing, song and poetry from a flash mob demanding an end to violence against women and to raise money for domestic abuse charity Leeway.

The sixth annual Norwich Rising is part of the global project 'One Billion Rising', where groups of activists across the world come together to show solidarity for survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault.

More than 50 people watched around 20 dancers brave the wind and the cold.

The event was organised by Eloise O'Hare, Michelle Savage, and Poppy Rose and ran alongside an art exhibition at the Undercroft with an auction of the art in support of Leeway on February 17.

Alongside the dance were speeches from Katy Jon Went, poetry from Hayley Burwood and Poppy Rose, songs from Nessa James and Sue Lane, as well as messages from Norfolk Police, the Harbour Centre, and Leeway.
