People are being warned not to climb or use 'unstable' cliffs in north Norfolk as a short cut.
It comes after Sheringham and Cromer Coastguards were called at 5.27pm on Wednesday, May 1 to reports of five people climbing cliffs in West Runton.
A coastguard spokesman said: 'Sheringham team went and spoke with the first informant while the Cromer team searched the top of the cliffs from East Runton to West Runton.
'It became clear the five had left the area.
'The cliffs around the Runtons may look like giant sand pits in areas. But the lack of rain fall has made the cliffs dry and unstable.
'So please don't use them as a short cut. Enjoy our blue flagged beaches a little bit longer and use a correct exit from the beach.'
If you see someone in trouble along the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguards.
