Fisherman rescued off Norfolk coast

A fisherman was taken to hospital after passing out on a boat off the Cromer coast.

The Coastguard from Cromer and Sheringham was called at 9.20am on Tuesday, March 28 to reports of a man taken ill on board.

He was conscious and breathing when brought ashore at The Esplanade in Cromer.

The man, in his 60s, was handed over to an ambulance crew who took him to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
