Organisers of the first ever Harleston Open Gardens event were pleased with the turnout from the public.
The gardens at 28 properties within the town were opened up for visitors to have a look at some of the summer blooms and flora on show.
And Nicky Stainton, one of the event organisers, said approximately 700 people had visited the gardens over the course of the two day event at the weekend and that one courtyard garden had attracted 200 people.
She said: 'We are very happy. We had a lot of very positive feedback from people who were really delighted in discovering gardens they did not know and a lot of the garden owners were delighted with the comments they received.'
She added another open gardens event would be held, but the organisers needed to decide whether to hold it annually or every two years.
