Young runners are being invited to join in the first ever Marriott's Way Children's Fun Run on Sunday 8 October, hosted by Broadland District Council and sponsored by the Bure Valley Railway.

The free, one mile run is open to young runners ages four to 16 and will kick off the day of the ninth annual Marriott's Way 10k race for adult runners. The children's run is a one mile, circular route and will begin at Woodgate Nursery, Cawston Road in Aylsham at 10am on Sunday 8 October with registration nearby from 9:20- 9:40. The run will finish in time for parents to compete in the main race from 11am.

Individual places are still available for adult runners in the Marriott's Way 10k race which begins in Aylsham and finishes in Reepham Market Place. Entry costs from £14-16 per runner, £1 from each entry will be donated to Norfolk Trails, a charity that maintains Marriott's Way. Corporate teams are also being encouraged to enter the race.
