Thousands of tickets were sold in the first council-run lottery draw for good causes.
Around 1,231 tickets were sold for the first draw of West Norfolk Wins, a lottery scheme aimed at raising funds for charities and good causes in the area, with 50 good causes already signed up.
The first lottery draw included a prize draw for a 50” TV sponsored by homes developer Lovell and a sound bar sponsored by retailer Hughes.
The winner, Mrs Angela Schrier, from Terrington, said: “I would never be able to afford such expensive items, so this is something that me and my three boys will get a lot of pleasure from. I have never won anything like this before so I am ridiculously excited.
“I think the lottery is a great way to support local good causes, which was my main reason for playing.”
