Firefighters to be based at Sainsbury’s in Thorpe St Andrew this week

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service will be at the Sainsbury's supermarket in Thorpe St Andrew throughout this week as part of the store's fire safety week.

Firefighters will be on-call and have their fire engine in the Pound Lane store's car park in case of an emergency in the area but will be offering customers the opportunity to have free home fire risk checks and the benefit of smoke alarm fittings to those most at risk.

People can book an appointment with a fire officer to ensure that they are safe from fire in their home.

All those interested can call 0800 917 8137 or go to www.norfolkfireservice.gov.uk
