An area of grass, which was 'deliberately' set ablaze, has been dealt with by firefighters.

A crew from Gorleston fire station were called out at 10.17am this morning (Saturday) following reports that an area of grass was ablaze on New Road in Fritton, near Great Yarmouth.

A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said the crew 'used hand appliances to extinguish the fire, which had been deliberately ignited.'
