Firefighters and a farmer have tackled a deliberately started blaze that involved 20 tonnes of straw and a hedge on fire in Pulham St Mary, near Diss.

The fire in Poppy's Lane was reported at 4.23pm and saw one fire engine from Long Stratton called out.

A fire service spokesman said 'Crews used hand appliances together with assistance from the farmer with a teleporter to extinguish the fire which had been deliberately ignited.'
