FIREFIGHTERS from Lowestoft spent about 20 minutes tackling a motorbike blaze in the town.

A crew from Lowestoft were called out at 7.45pm last night (Saturday) following reports of a motorbike fire in Water Lane. The blaze was located behind the new Sixth Form College building near the old railway line on Water Lane.

'The crew arrived at 7.54pm and used a dry powder extinguisher to put the fire out, which was under control at 8.04pm,' a spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said.

The blaze was quickly dealt with and the crew had returned to their station by 8.25pm.
