Firefighters quickly tackled a kitchen blaze at a house in Lowestoft.
A crew from Lowestoft South fire station and one from Lowestoft North were called out at 5.55pm last night (Monday) following reports of a house fire in a 'private dwelling' in June Avenue, Lowestoft.
A brigade spokesman said that on arrival at the scene, the crews found the kitchen of the house was ablaze before they quickly put out the flames.
Firefighters checked for hot spots after the blaze was brought under control, with the spokesman adding that 'other areas of the property, including the loft space' were checked 'to ensure the fire had not spread to other rooms.'
There were no reported injuries and police did not attend, with the scene cleared at 6.55pm.
